De Molen (The Mill) was opened in 2004 by head brewer, Menno Olivier. They made their name by releasing a huge variety of top quality beers in very small quantities and their minimal labels are credited with having an influence on the contemporary presentation of beers. Once a year, they host their 'Borefts Beer Festival' which attracts the finest breweries in Europe and is regarded as a mecca for enthusiasts the world over.
