Our very first blend ever, the combination of 4 beers: a sour mixed beer (sour pater ** uncut **) with a typical Flemish triple and a light blonde. Hence the name, the pater stands for a traditional abbey beer.
Expect a bitter-sour beer (grapefruit), perfect as an aperitif beer or to serve with main dishes at room temperature.

Bierstekers started as a side project of restaurant In't Nieuw Museum in Bruges. It was a rainy Sunday afternoon when owners Marijke & Koen (inspired by a book about Gueuze blenders) decided to get started with some lost bottles & leftovers of beer. They filled measuring cups, filled some bottles with a lot of spillage, put a cork on it and hoped for something tasty. The result was there a few weeks later and it was actually not too bad. Their interest was there!
They continued their journey & soon started selling the blends in the restaurant, to great acclaim.
Since the global pandemic of 2020, meaning the restaurant was forced to temporarily close, they have immersed themselves into their fascinating hobby & created many more blends. Out of a worldwide tragedy, something truly beautiful has grown & now people outside of the restaurant can taste these remarkable creations too!
