Anchor have taken the legendary Belgian farmhouse ale and added a Californian twist. The addition of lemongrass, lemon peel and ginger adds citrus, zest and a vibrant spiciness to the traditional fruity esters provided by the Saison yeast strain.

The historic Anchor Brewery was saved from closure in 1965 by Frederick Louis Maytag III. He learned his craft, steadily improving the conditions and output of the brewery before releasing the iconic Anchor Steam in 1971. Still one of the only breweries to regularly produce this style of beer, Anchor has gone from strength to strength and is now widely regarded as one of the founding fathers of the American Craft Beer scene.
