But as Oude Geuze 750ml we are offering a unique version of our Oude Geuze. In the continuous search for sherry barrels to produce our Zenne y Frontera we need to source from different suppliers. The batch we received in 2019 turned out to be slightly different than what we expected. After reception we found out that they had already been prepared for whiskey usage and showed mild peated toasted flavours. We decided to use them either way and see what came out and bottled the beer. The result was a very refined (100% sherry lambik) beer only with a mild sherry flavor and a very subtle peated taste which makes it an interesting and complex unique beer. Do note that we are releasing this as an Oude Geuze, with the same barcode and same price as the ‘regular’ Oude Geuze.

Founded in 1887, 3 Fonteinen originally specialised in the blending of Lambic acquired from other breweries to produce outstanding Gueuze and Kriek beer. In 1998, they expanded and began brewing their own, however they still use beer from breweries such as Boon and Girardin to this day, making their output a true representation of the Lambic culture.
